SOKOTO REGIONAL MANAGER VISITS NSCDC COMMANDANT SEEKS COLLABORATION.

Kaduna Electric Regional Manager, Sokoto region, Mr Salisu Malami Shanono, has called on the Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corp, NSCDC, Sokoto State Command to support the Company's effort in ensuring steady power supply in the state.

 

Mr. Shanono made the appeal while on a courtesy visit, alongside the Regional Management team to the Commandant, Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corp, Sokoto State Command, E A Ajayi.

The Regional Manager stated that, power is critical for national growth and the major challenges facing Kaduna Electric is vandalization of the company's equipment and installations energy theft, meter bypass among others

"The cases of vandalism are affecting the quality and reliability of power supply to the customers. The company is losing millions as a result of vandalization.

"I appeal for the assistance of your office in safeguarding the company's equipment and installations, let me further solicit for the cooperation of Sokoto State NSCDC Command, to curtail the menace."

Mr Shanono, thank the Commandant for the warmly reception accorded to him and his team.

While responding, The Commandant, Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corps, Sokoto State Command, E A Ajayi, stated that it's a pleasure to receive the leadership of Kaduna Electric, Sokoto Region.

 According to him, "the visit has enlightened us more about the company operations even though, I understood and have knowledge of what is happening and the challenges faced by the Electricity industry"

The NSCDC boss, who promised to continue providing security to Kaduna Electric installation to enable effective service delivery in the state, reiterated that, "it is the responsibility of my office to protect critical infrastructure asset and properties of the entire citizenry of the state and  the survival of Kaduna Electric as business entity."

Ajayi however, assured the company of maximum support and cooperation.

The meeting concluded on a high note with both parties agreeing to establish communication channels for swift intervention on security matters affecting the power sector in the region.

 

Kaduna Electric, TCN Strengthen Partnership to Boost Power Supply Efficiency.

Kaduna Electric has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to enhance power supply reliability and improve operational efficiency across its franchise areas.

The pledge was made by the Regional Manager, Zamfara Region, Mr. Muazu Aliyu, during a courtesy visit to the TCN Transmission Station in Talata Mafara, Zamfara State.


Mr. Aliyu emphasized the importance of building stronger synergy between both organizations to effectively tackle challenges affecting the power supply chain.

“Effective power delivery depends on close coordination between TCN and the Distribution Companies (DisCos). TCN is responsible for wheeling power from generation plants to the DisCos, who in turn distribute electricity to end-users. This process requires constant communication to balance supply and demand and ensure steady power delivery to customers,” he explained.

He pointed out key challenges confronting the sector, including energy theft, vandalism of power infrastructure, and financial constraints, stressing that addressing these issues demands joint planning and continuous collaboration between the two organizations.

Mr. Aliyu further highlighted the need for open communication channels between TCN and Kaduna Electric, noting that a seamless working relationship is vital to resolving operational bottlenecks and improving service delivery.

In his remarks, the TCN Station Supervisor, Mr. Julius Dazi, commended Kaduna Electric for the visit and expressed the company’s readiness to strengthen cooperation aimed at ensuring improved and more stable power supply across Zamfara State.

He described the visit as a reflection of a renewed commitment to teamwork, transparency, and operational excellence within the power sector, with the shared goal of delivering more reliable electricity to customers.

 

Kaduna Electric Strengthens Ties with Major Customers.

The Regional Manager of Kaduna Electric, Zamfara Region, Mr. Muazu Aliyu, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with its key customers.

Mr. Aliyu made this known during a courtesy visit to Yariman Bakura Farm in Talata Mafara, one of the company’s major Maximum Demand (MD) customers.

The visit formed part of Kaduna Electrics ongoing customer engagement drive, designed to promote energy efficiency, improve service delivery, and strengthen collaboration with industrial consumers.

Commending the management of the farm for its cooperation and prompt payment of electricity bills, Mr. Aliyu described Maximum Demand customers as “strategic partners in driving industrial growth and regional development.” He assured them of Kaduna Electrics continuous commitment to providing reliable and efficient power supply across the region.

In his remarks, the Farm Manager, Alhaji Zaharadeen Muhammad Anka, expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a clear demonstration of Kaduna Electrics renewed commitment to customer

satisfaction. He pledged the farm’s sustained cooperation and timely payment of bills to support the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
