Kaduna Electric has reaffirmed its commitment to corporate responsibility and security collaboration, emphasizing the critical role of strong partnerships in achieving sustainable energy distribution. This was stated by the Zamfara Regional Manager, Malam Gaddafi Ibrahim Saminaka, who was represented by the Zamfara North Area Office Manager, Malam Lawal Adamu, during a recent engagement in Gusau.
Adamu
underscored the importance of strengthening existing relationships with
security agencies, engaging in discussions on mutual interests, and exploring
avenues for deeper collaboration. He highlighted that electricity is an
essential commodity that directly supports security operations, making the
partnership between Kaduna Electric and security personnel vital for the safety
and stability of the region.
"This
visit serves as an avenue to enhance our existing relationship, discuss areas
of mutual interest, and explore potential collaborations that align with our
shared goals," Adamu stated. "Reliable electricity supply is crucial
for security operations, and we are committed to working closely with security
agencies to ensure efficiency in service delivery."
He also
stressed the need for the timely payment of electricity bills, describing it as
critical for maintaining an efficient power supply. He noted that unpaid
electricity debts place a financial strain on the company and affect overall
service quality.
"Electricity
debt is one of the major factors affecting our operations, slowing down revenue
generation and placing the system in a critical condition," he explained.
"We urge security agencies to settle all outstanding bills promptly. Regular
payment is key to sustaining efficient electricity supply."
This
engagement marks a significant step in fostering a more secure and efficient
power sector. Kaduna Electric remains committed to collaborating with security
agencies and other stakeholders to drive progress and ensure a stable
electricity supply for its customers.
In response,
the Commander of the 207 Quick Response Group, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Gusau, Cadet
MJ Aliyu commended Kaduna Electric for its efforts in ensuring a stable power
supply to the command. He emphasized that reliable electricity is essential for
keeping security systems operational, resilient, and cost-effective.
Aliyu noted
that without a steady power supply, security infrastructure becomes vulnerable,
increasing the risk of crime and emergencies. He reaffirmed the command’s
commitment to payment compliance and operational efficiency while soliciting
continued energy support for its activities.
Furthermore,
he assured that efforts would be made to settle outstanding debts and ensure
prompt payment for electricity services. The commander expressed optimism about
strengthening the partnership with Kaduna Electric to enhance security
operations in the region.
