Zamfara Regional Manager Urges Staff Commitment, Applauds Revenue Protection Unit, and Reaffirms Welfare Support
In a renewed drive toward operational excellence and institutional sustainability, the Regional Manager of Zamfara, Malam Gaddafi Ibrahim Saminaka, has passionately called on all staff across the region to recommit themselves to the values of integrity, diligence, and responsibility in the discharge of their duties.
Addressing Regional staff during a strategic engagement
session held at the regional headquarters in Gusau, Malam Gaddafi reiterated
that the organization’s growth and relevance are anchored on the collective
efforts of its workforce. He emphasized that no role is too small or
inconsequential in the broader structure of service delivery.
“Every individual
has a purpose within the system. Whether in the field or in administration, our
collective success hinges on each person’s input. There is no room for
complacency or negligence,” he declared.
Malam Gaddafi expressed concern over the growing culture of
disengagement and silo mentality in some quarters, cautioning that
fragmentation of responsibility only serves to weaken operational capacity. He
urged staff to see beyond personal or departmental boundaries and embrace a
shared sense of ownership in achieving organizational goals.
In his remarks, Malam Gaddafi singled out the Revenue
Protection Unit (RPU) for commendation, praising their unwavering commitment to
combating unethical practices, enforcing operational standards, and
safeguarding the integrity of the revenue stream.
He noted the unit’s visible efforts in detecting and
curbing energy theft, meter bypass, and illegal tampering of equipment, which
have long posed challenges to accurate billing and sustainable income
generation.
“The honesty,
vigilance, and consistency of the Revenue Protection Unit stand out. They have
demonstrated what it means to be loyal to both the system and the public trust.
Others must learn from their professionalism,” he added.
However, he made it clear that such welfare packages are
not automatic entitlements but are intrinsically linked to performance,
discipline, and loyalty to the organization’s vision and values.
“Leadership is ready
to support and invest in staff welfare—but this is a partnership. Staff must be
dedicated, focused, and willing to grow with the organization. When we are
united in purpose, the benefits will reflect in both our professional and
personal lives,” he said.
